Average Jane - Fall Style

Fellow blogger Average Jane cooks up some seriously fantastic recipes for my favorite season: Fall. When it comes to the sights, sounds and smells of the season, nothing beats fall in Missouri. Add in a batch of the Kail's hot spiced apple juice, and it's a little bit-o-heaven.

Interbike

As you may or may not know, I'm a big fan of cycling. My ride of choice is a Rans V-Rex recumbent. For comfort and pure enjoyment the recumbents are where it's at, and they get big time points for style in my book. Interbike, the biggest bike show in the US is taking place this week, introducing the latest and greatest available from the some of the best bike manufacturers. I've been following a great blog on recumbents (www.recumbentblog.com) for a while and they put up some great pics of the new releases. You can also find some recent comments here.

Rhymes With Kanye

Just checking out Kanye West's new "Graduation". Some very nice tracks, including a sample from one of my favorites, Daft Punk's "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger". Kanye definitely has an ear for beats and catchy hooks. I appreciate the hard work that goes into making music and the desire to feel unique while exuding confidence, but I'm growing really tired of the lyrics "best rapper alive." If it's really true, we don't need to hear artists saying it. Just prove it to us with your work and let it stand on its own. (Also included a link to the Daft Punk original.)

Missouri-Spandex Style

A couple weeks back I had the opportunity to help out with the innaugural Tour of Missouri bike race. 40,000 spectators through the streets of Kansas City to watch some pretty fantastic bike racing. This was the last US race for Team Discovery Channel, made famous by one Lance Armstrong. They had some serious firepower at this race including, eventual winner George Hincapie, 2007 US National Champion (3rd place Tour de France) Levi Leipheimer, perennial butt-kicker workhorses Yaroslav Popovych and Benjamin Noval, and 2007 Tour de France winner Alberto Contador. A lot of random names for those who aren't fans, but Discovery Channel was the Yankees of cycling. Also present, Team Slipstream-Chipotle: Our favorite guys in argyle. A great week for Missouri tourism and excellent coverage from international media.

Welcome

The start. Welcome. I'm reaching out into the blogosphere, spreading kindness, useless trivia and correct pronunciation. Starting with me. Hello, I'm Tim. You are awesome. A Smurf is 3 apples tall. And yes, my last name Rhymes With Style.
